Reiki: a transference of energy

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient healing modality which can be traced back to some of the first cultures and civilisations of time. Rei meaning universal and Ki meaning life-force.

Everything in existence is made up of subatomic particles or energy. Ki is the energy that flows through us and sustains life. If the flow of energy through the body is restricted or blocked, wellness is affected. The energy centres and channels within and around the body can become blocked as a result of pain, suffering and distressful life experiences that have not been digested and healed.

Reiki draws upon universal life force energy to awaken the body’s natural healing mechanisms. This encourages the flow of energy within the mind, body and aura, the electro-magnetic field that surrounds the body. This sacred practice shifts one’s energy and emotional state, relieving symptoms of depression, anxiety, upset and pain thus releasing any density and stagnation. Reiki reconnects the self and it promotes inner peace and harmony, bringing you back into alignment with the true essence of your being.

How Does it Work?

Reiki is practised as a hands-on healing treatment. As it is a transference of energy, a practitioner can also hover over your body without touch and it can also be sent distantly, across a room and even across the world. Reiki is an innate intelligence and will always flow to where it is needed. This makes Reiki healing miraculous as it opens up our eyes to the magical potential for healing in the world.

The Benefits of Reiki

As well as clearing energetic blockages and heaviness from the body, Reiki restores these spaces with light and joy. A treatment can leave you feeling deeply relaxed and sometimes as though you’re on another galaxy. It can therefore aid in better sleep. It restores feelings of peace, happiness and balance. It can provide relief from physical pain and injuries. Reiki can support the connection you have with divine, enhancing your intuitive abilities and the connection you have with the wider world. A Reiki treatment can also help to provide clarity with decision making through stillness and the shifting of energy. Overall, provides time out of your schedule just for you, to meditate, to let go and to be held. Every treatment is different and you will receive the medicine you need at that point in time.

You may laugh, you may cry, you might vibrate and tremor

How is Reiki Different from Other Forms of Energy Healing?

What makes this system of healing different from others is the process of attunements. These rituals of initiation consist of sacred symbols and mantra which fine tune the physical and etheric bodies to a higher vibratory level and open a purified cannel in the body for energy to pass through.

Who is it for?

It is for those who are ready to let go of unwanted energy and whatever might be holding one back in life to create space for the new. It is for those who are ready to alchemise and transmute density into light for greater living, wellness, miracles and transformation. Reiki is suitable for anyone of any age, from new-born to pregnant mama’s and elders. It can even be practised on pets, plants and machinery.

What Can I Expect?

You may laugh, you may cry, you might vibrate and tremor – these are all signs of releasing and opening you up for healing and transformation. It is all welcome! Every experience is different as some people see vibrant colours in their mind and in the field around them. Others feel the hands of loved ones and light beings who step in for divine assistance, making their presence known. You can also expect to feel safe and supported whilst being held in pure unconditional love.

Hey I’m Jess 😊

My craft is that of guiding people inwards, to their core centre, to reconnect with the primordial essence of their true divinity. through dream-working, energy healing, massage, art, movement and laughter.

I believe that we are all so much more than our physical bodies. we are vessels and portals to the sacred. we are what connects the cosmos and the earth; the space between dimensions and worlds. we are all creators and we are all inter-connected, sometimes, this knowledge is just lost along the way. but that’s what we’re all here for, as we are the biggest messengers, students and teachers.

I have a background working in the criminal justice system; supporting people to see beyond the stories ~ now i do this with the rest of the world too, as i navigate through life, still amazed by all of the synchronicities it holds.
