✈️ What are the flight and travel arrangements?
Flights from London are to Nairobi airport. From Nairobi, we recommend getting a domestic flight to Malindi airport as this is the closest airport to the treehouse. An alternative route is a domestic flight or high-speed train to Mombasa.
Recommended flights and further details are spent upon booking the retreat.
Airport Transfers
We will help you organise transfers from Mombasa airport or Malindi airport and back. Airport transfers are not included in the price of the retreat.
Once arriving in Malindi, its a 25 minute taxi ride to Watamu Treehouse. Alternatively, one can fly to Mombasa. It is a 2 ½ hour taxi ride to Treehouse from Mombasa.

Watamu Treehouse is well known for its delicious, nutritionally balanced cuisine. All meals are plant-based & pescatarian, with fresh local ingredients.
The Kenya Retreat is our top location for accommodating any dietary requirements you may have, with the fantastic chefs being able to accommodate any allergies, intolerances or preferences.
How the Treehouse describes their food:
Regardless of the flavour inspiration, we always retain our principles of vibrancy and freshness ensuring that the food is bursting with life force. We source fresh fruits and vegetables from the local market and try to get everything else from coastal producers or the health food shop. Our lunches and dinners are abundant “set-meals” and always include a soup or starter, a vegetarian main course (and a seafood main course if not vegetarian), a variety of sides and salads, and a dessert. We serve fresh juice or coconut water and a variety of hot drinks after the meal. Great for vegans, and gluten and dairy-free, we take all dietary restrictions into account if you tell us in advance.
-
Most of our guests actually join the retreat solo - and it’s one of the best ways to travel.
Before we travel, you’ll be invited to:
A private WhatsApp group to connect and plan together
Pre-retreat meet-ups (online + in London) to meet your fellow retreaters.
Once in Kenya, we’ll have plenty of time together as a group as well as quiet time to spend however you wish. Past guests often say they arrived as strangers and left as friends.
-
This retreat is for all levels - from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. Every class is guided with options, so you can move at your own pace and choose what feels good for your body.
Our yoga practices include:
Dynamic yoga flows to energise and build strength
Restorative and yin sessions to release tension and support recovery
Gentle breathwork and meditation for calming the mind
Whether you’re new to yoga, returning after a break, or already practice regularly, you’ll feel supported and encouraged throughout. The focus is less on “performance” and more on giving your body and nervous system the space to restore.
Your Place in Kenya is Waiting.
