Wellness wasn’t built with everyone in mind.
In London (and beyond), yoga spaces have often felt out of reach. They’re exclusive, expensive, and they ask us to leave parts of ourselves at the door.
Pana was created in response. What began in 2020 as a one-off community class has grown into a platform that makes movement, rest, and wellbeing feel like home - especially for the African Diaspora and our allies. Our approach is rooted in culture, care and credibility, led by practitioners who understand the body through both lived experience and professional training.
In just five years, Pana has welcomed thousands into our community. We host sold-out retreats across Africa, run weekly BPOC Yoga Club classes in London, and are building a teacher training programme that puts inclusivity and quality at its core.
Now, we're stepping into our next chapter - and you're invited to move with us.
Our mission & vision
Pana exists to reimagine wellness through the lens of lived experience, cultural depth, and professional integrity. Centring the African Diaspora and open to all allies, our mission is to make movement, rest, and embodied care accessible, inclusive, and deeply rooted in truth.
Through regular yoga classes and events, we’re building a wellness platform that honours where we come from, how we move forward - and how we care for each other along the way.
Community Values
At Pana, we believe wellness spaces should allow people to arrive as their full selves.
Our community brings together people of different cultures, identities, genders, bodies, abilities, and lived experiences. We are committed to creating environments where everyone feels safe, respected, and able to participate in ways that feel right for them.
Respect for identity
1
We honour each person’s identity, including gender identity, pronouns, cultural background, and personal boundaries. We encourage everyone to use inclusive language and approach one another with openness and care.
Choice and autonomy
2
Participation is always an invitation, never an obligation. You are welcome to rest, modify, step away, or engage in ways that support your body and nervous system.
Community care
3
We look out for one another. This includes being mindful of how we share space, listening without judgment, and contributing to an environment where people feel emotionally and physically safe.
Non-assumption
4
We avoid making assumptions about others’ bodies, identities, or experiences. We recognise that everyone’s relationship with movement, wellness, and community is unique.
Learning and accountability
5
We are always learning. If harm occurs, we commit to listening, reflecting, and taking responsibility so our spaces can continue to grow with integrity.
Our intention
Pana was created to reimagine wellness through care, cultural depth, and lived experience. Our community values are a shared commitment—to creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and able to belong.
If there is anything we can do to support your comfort or accessibility, you are always welcome to reach out.
